General Questions 

What should we expect in our monthly box? 

Every box will feature an exclusive special edition frontlist or recently released romance paperback. Some months may come with foiling and other special features like an author letter. Please keep an eye out on our social media accounts (Instagram: @thelovestorysociety, TikTok: @thelovestorysociety, & Facebook: @thelovestorysociety) for the latest information. 

What kinds of books should we expect?

We like to feature a diverse array of tropes within the romance genre, however our picks tend to lean more heavily towards contemporary romance. While our picks are generally on the lighter side, we do also feature darker romances and romantasy titles.

Do you do reprints? 

Because we pride our box in being exclusive and special to our customers, we generally will not be reprinting any books in our box. Under special circumstances, we may consider reprinting, but please understand that this is not the norm. 

The Love Story Society Subscription

Can I skip or cancel a box? 

Yes! Our current skip policy allows for unlimited skips. You may unskip up until the renewal date, which is the first of each month. You can cancel anytime through your account when you log in to our site.

Skipping a pre-paid subscription: Once boxes have been paid for, they cannot be skipped. However, you can skip prior to your renewal, but it will skip the ENTIRE next 6 or 12 month period. Cancelling will not refund boxes already paid for.

How much will it cost?

For US customers you will be charged $22.99 every month including shipping. For International customers, the box will cost $22.99 + shipping. INTL customers are responsible for any fees or taxes that may apply during import.

Will one-time purchases be available?

These books will only be available as part of the subscription, with the exception of overstock. Any titles that we have overstock of will be offered to current subscribers, then to the general public if there are any remaining. 

What is the schedule?

Subscriptions will always renew on the 1st of the month. For example, the June box will renew on June 1st. As long as spots are open, you can subscribe any time that month to receive the box. 

For Clarity: Subscription spots for the JUNE box are open from JUNE 1st until JUNE 30th. Subscribing AFTER June 30th (July 1st) will get you the July box.

Boxes will ship by the end of the month (January box ships end of January etc). Please note that some titles are not released until the later half of the month. We are not allowed to ship out our editions prior to release date. 

Will the covers be revealed?

Yes, we will reveal covers before renewals and you will have at least 3 days to skip or cancel. 

Shipping

Do you offer free or international shipping?

Shipping within the US is always INCLUDED in the cost of the item. Shipping internationally is always calculated at checkout. 

Do you ship internationally? 

Yes we do! We use typically use UPS Worldwide Expedited (USPS First Class International is avaliable for Canadian customers) for our international orders, which comes with insurance and a speedy shipping time (though a specific shipping timeframe is not guaranteed, shipping times generally take about a week).

Will we be able to track our orders?

Yes. Once a label has been created, you will be emailed the tracking number and be able to see where it is. Please note that it may take up to 14 business days for tracking to update as boxes get scanned in by the post office. 

    Returns & Replacements 

    Do you offer refunds? 

    Unfortunately, we can only process refunds or cancel orders 1 hour after a purchase is made if the products have not been delivered. Otherwise, once you place an order it is final. Once a renewal has processed, we cannot refund or cancel your order if you forgot to skip or cancel. If you have a question about a refund, please email us: contact@thelovestorysociety.co

    If my book comes damaged, can I get it replaced? 

    We are so sorry that your books have arrived damaged. Within one week of receiving the box/book, please email contact@thelovestorysociety.co with your order number and photos of the damage. Once we verify that we are able to replace your book, we will send a shipping label to return the book to us and we will ship out a replacement to you. Please return the book within 2 weeks. 

    Books must be significantly damaged to qualify for a replacement and are up to our discretion.

    What happens if my package is lost?

    First, we are so sorry that your package has been lost. If after 30 days there is no update to your tracking, please contact us so we can reach out to the postal service. If they are unable to recover the package, we will ship a new one to you.Once a package is marked as delivered, we are no longer responsible if it gets stolen or destroyed and cannot replace it if it is missing.
